On a sunny summer day, a friend and I enjoyed a lovely Sunday Brunch at Blue Smoke in Battery Park City. We savored the traditional Southern cuisine. Of course we ordered the Buttermilk Biscuits, which were warm, flakey and baked to perfection. Then it came to me, many people don’t know how to navigate the biscuit basket. So, here we go!
After the bread is placed on the table

The Biscuit Basket
1st – Break off a small bite-size piece of the biscuit.

Break Off A Small Piece
2nd – Take the knife, dip it in the jam and spread a small amount of jam on the biscuit.

Spread Jam with Knife
3rd – Put the knife down before you eat the small piece.
4th – Repeat steps 1-3 for each piece that you break off
