Employee Appreciation Day is March 3, 2017! It is the perfect time to express your gratitude to your team. Studies show that employees are more productive when they are recognized and feel valued for their hard work.
Here are a few ideas to help you reward your employees for their contributions and loyalty:
- Give employees an extra day off with pay
- Give employees one day of flexible hours.
- Pamper your employees: hire a masseuse and give everyone a 30-minute massage.
- Give employees an extended lunch break.
- Give employees two free tickets to the movies or a Broadway show.
- Create a Wall of Appreciation (place Post-It notes on a wall with encouraging messages)
- Have a nicely decorated table for coffee and specialty pastries
- Have a small raffle contest
Don’t forget to give a personalized handwritten thank you note to each employee; including a lotto scratch off card is a nice touch. However, be careful because if someone wins big he or she may not return to work the next day.
Of course the best way to acknowledge employees is to create a corporate culture of daily recognition.
