Dear Always Appropriate Friends & Family,

Another year has ended and a New Year begins filled with the promise of new adventures. Thus, it is time to reflect on the past and look forward to the future.

In retrospect, 2015 was both an electrifying and taxing year for the Always Appropriate family. There were many challenges and many successes.

me and momThe challenges seemed insurmountable. We almost lost our staunchest supporter, my mom, a.k.a. Amazing Grace. However, with her faith, prayers, and herculean fight to live, she made it. To-date, she continues to improve and to have unwavering certitude in the success of Always Appropriate. Her insights and recommendations make her my most trusted business advisor-she is truly the “wind beneath my wings.”

Conversely, although nail biting, the successes felt like an IV tube filled with adrenaline.

  • On January 23rd the Always Appropriate website was launched
    • A special thank you to Brenda Galloway, a brilliant copywriter and Bryan Peck, a creative website developer. The website would not be as phenomenal without them.
  • On March 27th I did a radio interview regarding etiquette on the Maggie Linton show on Sirius XM.
  • On November 6th the Facebook business page was launched.
  • By December 31st, in only 1-½ months, Always Appropriate acquired 59 new Facebook followers, which exceeded our goal of 50.
    • As of January 15, 2016, we have 66 followers.

As we look to the future, there are so many opportunities for us to pursue.

The vision for 2016 is to make Always Appropriate a lifestyle brand. One method that will be utilized to achieve this objective is to use Facebook as a means of communication.

Posts will focus on:

  • Business and personal etiquette,
  • Fashion trends,
  • Gift giving ideas,
  • Personal shopping for greeting cards, gifts and wardrobe,
  • Makeovers and more.

Other, more operational goals include:

  • Growing the Always Appropriate family by obtaining one new Facebook follower per month.
  • Building the senior market by assisting them with in-store & online shopping.
  • Partnering with grassroots organizations to teach business etiquette to underserved communities.
  • Building a membership based program of email reminder alerts for important dates; such as, Birthdays, Anniversaries, Administrative Professionals’ Day, Grandparents’ Day and more.

Exciting things to look out for in the New Year:

  • More unique gift-giving ideas for special occasions; such as, Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Graduations and Weddings.
  • How to make a wedding proposal unique and memorable.
  • The low down on what’s happening around town.
  • More blog posts on our website.

In 2016, please share your love for Always Appropriate by clicking the “share” and “like” buttons on our posts. And don’t forget the old school method of giving recommendations to friends and family when you speak with them.

Thank you for your continued support and wishing you and your families all the best in 2016!

Warmest regards,
Tami Claytor
